Installation Steps

• Prepare tools and new headlights

Gather essential tools such as a screwdriver, wrench and wire stripper in advance. Check the model and quality of the new headlights to ensure they match your vehicle and are free from damage.

• Disconnect the power supply

Open the car hood and locate the negative terminal of the car battery. Use a wrench to loosen the fixing bolt of the negative cable, then remove the cable and set it aside. This step can effectively avoid short - circuit during the installation process.

• Remove the old headlight assembly

First, find the fixing components of the old headlight, which are usually screws or clips. Use a matching screwdriver or wrench to unscrew the screws, or gently pry off the clips. Then, disconnect the wiring harness connected to the old headlight—hold the connector and pull it out steadily without pulling the wires forcefully to prevent wire damage. Finally, take out the old headlight assembly from the mounting position.

• Prepare the mounting position and new headlights

Wipe the mounting area of the headlight with a clean cloth to remove dust, oil stains and other debris, so as to ensure a tight fit of the new headlight. If there are aging gaskets or seals in the mounting position, replace them with new ones. Meanwhile, check the wiring of the new headlight to confirm there is no loose connection.

• Install the new headlight assembly

Place the new headlight into the mounting position accurately, making sure it is aligned with the fixed holes or clamping positions. Reconnect the wiring harness—insert the connector of the new headlight firmly into the vehicle's corresponding wiring socket until it clicks into place. Then fix the new headlight with screws or clips, and tighten the screws properly (avoid over - tightening to prevent damage to the headlight shell).

• Reconnect the power supply and test the headlight

Reattach the negative cable to the negative terminal of the battery and tighten the fixing bolt with a wrench. Start the vehicle, then turn on the low beam, high beam, turn signal and other functions in turn to check whether the new headlight works normally and whether the light beam is stable.

• Make final adjustments and inspections

If the light beam of the new headlight is offset, adjust the adjusting screw on the headlight assembly to make the light beam irradiate within the standard range. After adjustment, close the car hood and check again whether the headlight is installed firmly and whether there is abnormal noise when shaking the headlight slightly. Ensure there is no problem before completing the installation.
